Challenge:

Develop and launch the first-ever marketing department at this $5 billion REIT, with minimal understanding of the importance of marketing/advertising and PR.


Solution:

Gained buy-in from the C-Suite to hire internal marketing team as well as consultants to grow the departments both at corporate headquarters as well as the Asbury Park office. Established processes, procedures, including quarterly and annual reporting externally as well as media reports to the board. Hired external creative/marketing/PR teams for Asbury Park to manage creative, local operators and community outreach efforts in support of iStar’s growth and success.
